Fast and Furious 19

Round 19 saw fast conditions give up 8x course PBs on the penultimate night of furious competition among the 33 entrants. Max and Christoph Leinemann went 1-2 on handicap with the biggest improvements, Gary Charles was next as he moved to top of the season handicap table. Pablo Beale, Fred and William Barlow and Debbie Coyle also set new bests. Fred broke the 25 min barrier on his road bike.

Ramsey Kechacha and Michael Stimson chased down sub 23 min rides and guest riders from Hornchurch CC starting ahead of them in the Road Bike category. Both reeled in their guests and clocked times in the 22.40’s with Ramsey (pictured) edging it.

Olly Beale, Jane Brown, Debbie Coyle, and Will Barlow won their respective categories.

Kevin Baumber went fastest overall in the Open TT reversing last week’s loss to Andrew Wenham. Kevin is on 9 rides with 10 counting and misses next week’s final race where one more win would make a dead heat on points, but Wenham is a worthy season winner and would have beasted the final showdown.
